History
This blog was started by Steve on his first visit to Brazil in 2008. The idea is to pass on his impressions of the country, tips for visitors, tips for foreign residents and guide to living with a Brazilian woman
Since then Fred found the blog, read it and sent me a message. His circumstances are similar to mine and I invited him to contribute. This he has done and the blog is much better for it.
If any other foreigners living here are interested in writing an article please log in and send a comment asking me to get in touch. (Dave, are you reading this) Fred and I are in Greater Vitória but any location is fine.
Registering and logging in
This is not necessary to read the blog but you must do this if you want to comment on an article. This is unfortunate but necessary because spammers were posting hundreds of nonsensical comments with lots of link to sites selling porn, viagra etc. You do need to register a working email address but they are never divulged to any third parties.
Comments
Feel free to start a discussion. A blog is not meant to be like a newspaper article, the best ones are where the blogger sets the subject of a debate sets out his views and then watches the discussion that follows.
Easy notice of new articles.
There is a RSS feed. This means that this symbol appears in the address line of the page. In recent versions of Firefox (which you ought to be using) just click the icon in the address bar and accept the invitation to add the link to your bookmarks toolbar. When you hover over on the new icon in your bookmarks toolbar you will see a list of the most recent articles. Read more here
It will be just as easy in other browsers like Opera, Safari, Internet Exploder etc. Either ask Google or look at the browser help.
